Consultation

In the initial stage, we advise the client on legal, financial, and administrative matters related to registering a vehicle in Spain.

We then inspect the vehicle and review the relevant information to determine whether it can be registered in Spain and calculate an estimated cost.
Preparation Stage

At this stage, we begin preparing all necessary documents.

Next, we obtain all required certificates and prepare the documents for the vehicle inspection.
Vehicle Inspection

At this point, the vehicle successfully passes the vehicle inspection.

Afterward, we receive all documents confirming this process
Payment of Taxes and Fees

At this stage, we prepare and submit documents to the tax office and the city hall where the client is registered.

After that, we pay the taxes and fees.
Registration

After submitting the documents and paying all taxes and fees, the vehicle receives Spanish registration.
License plates and insurance

Once our client receives the documents via courier service, license plates must be obtained. In Spain, license plates are not issued by government agencies; they can be obtained at any auto shop in 5 minutes.

The final step is to arrange insurance, even if you do not hold a European driver’s license.

Vehicle registration taxes in Spain are calculated based on the vehicle’s assessed value and CO2 emissions.
The assessed value is determined by the tax authorities.

To calculate this tax, the following information is required:
- The province where you will register the vehicle
- The date of the vehicle’s first registration
- Make
- Fuel type
- Engine displacement
- Exact model
- CO2 emissions
- How the vehicle was purchased:
— from a company with a European tax number?
— from a private seller?
— have you owned it for a certain period of time?
