How the “Vehicle Registration in Spain” service works

- Consultation – Monitoring the Client’s ApplicationIn the initial stage, we advise the client on legal, economic, and organizational issues related to vehicle type approval in Spain.
- Finding an EngineerWe select an engineer to conduct the individual European type approval of the client’s vehicle and agree with them on the scope of work.
- Preparatory StageDuring this stage, we gather all necessary documents and determine the vehicle modifications required for successful completion of the European type approval process.
- HomologationAfter some time, the engineer visits the vehicle to inspect it and issues a written report.
- Passing the Technical InspectionThe final stage of the European homologation procedure is successfully passing the technical inspection and obtaining the vehicle’s technical passport.
Important questions about the service
Generally speaking, this amounts to at least 50% of the car’s value, provided that it can pass the European type-approval process.
This is a process to ensure that a vehicle complies with European standards and requirements. The cost of this service starts at €2,000.
Given that this procedure will cost more than 50% of the car’s value and take about six months, there isn’t much point in doing it.
